“KNOW”- Gospel Presentation

If you should die tonight and stand before God and He asked you, “Why should I let you into my heaven?”, what would you say?

Any acceptable answer to this question includes the description of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through repentance and faith.

God’s Word gives us a clear explanation of the means of genuine salvation.

I John 5:13 says
13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life,

God made provision for our salvation through Jesus
John 3:16 says
16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

K- Know that all have sinned- Romans 3:23-24
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

• God is without sin and must punish sin because of His holiness
• Because Adam and Eve sinned, we are all born with a sin nature

N- Now we deserve death- Romans 6:23
23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• This “death” is spiritual death, or separation from God, because of our sinfulness
• The word “wages” means that we deserve eternal punishment for our sinfulness

O- Only Christ is the way- Romans 5:8
8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

• Because God cannot let sin go unpunished, someone has to pay the price for our sins.
• Jesus was without sin, so He alone can pay that price.

W- Whoever believes is saved- Romans 10:9-10, 13
9that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 

13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

• Believe what God’s Word says about Jesus.
• Agree with God about your sins and call upon Jesus for salvation.

Prayer of Salvation

Dear God,
I understand that I have sinned and disappointed you.
I am sorry for my sin and ask you to forgive me.
Right now, I want to surrender my life to you and give you control of everything.
I believe that, according to your Word, you are now my Savior and Lord.
Thank you for loving me and for coming into my heart.
