Scotty grew up in the small town of Albertville, Alabama and has been active in church since he was old enough to walk. After getting saved just before his 13th birthday, Scotty became more and more active in his student ministry and spent as much time as he could learning from his pastors and mentors. Through the years Scotty eventually felt God's call to the ministry but chose to ignore that calling and pursue his own interests. When Scotty's dad died suddenly in late 2014, he struggled with a time of brokenness and grief before finally giving over to God's calling for his life. Since then Scotty has worked to teach the love and hope of Christ to a generation walking in darkness. Scotty hopes to begin formal education for Student Ministry soon.
